If you don’t want your child to look back at their childhood photos and hate you for dressing them in weird, trendy clothes, then you need to listen up today… because I am about to show you how to keep your kid looking fresh… without all the effort.

Because let’s be honest, taking a kid shopping is TORTURE.

Plus it’s dumb.

. . .

Last time I took my toddler to a mall I said this prayer in the fitting room:

“Dear Lord, please do not let this traumatizing experience lead me to a cocaine addiction. Amen.”

God answered my prayers and told me I needed to create a capsule wardrobe.

…and he also said I should buy everything online.

So I listened

And I decided I would create a capsule wardrobe.

Plus, I’m 99% sure Jesus had a capsule wardrobe so… it just seems like the right thing to do.

. . .

So let’s go!

I’m going to show you how to create a capsule wardrobe for your toddler so you can get your kid dressed in seconds and feel like a Mom who has her sh*t together, because you do… mostly.

. . .

How to create a capsule wardrobe:

For a toddler

. . .

Think about your lifestyle

Before buying anything, you’ll want to think about your lifestyle. Take a look at your calendar and think about what kind of clothes you’ll need for any upcoming trips. Also, make sure you are buying things your child will use often!

. . .

Only buy clothes twice a year

One thing that can change your life is only buying clothes twice a year. When you plan a capsule wardrobe for spring/summer and fall/winter you will be shocked how long a capsule will last! With that being said, you want to lean towards larger sizes so your kids don’t outgrow their wardrobe within the 6 months.

. . .

Set a budget

Decide in advance what your budget is, how many pieces you need, and pick a store within your budget. I personally spend $400 every 6 months on my son’s clothes. Pick a number that works for your budget and stick to it.

. . .

Pick 1-2 colors and change your life

I’m a big fan of neutral colors because they look more expensive plus they go with everything. So pick neutrals and one or two pops of color. And of course, everything will match, making getting dressed SO easy. I buy fun pajamas and underwear for my son so he doesn’t feel deprived of robots, dinosaurs, or sharks.

. . .

Use my shopping hack

Plan to shop at only 1-3 stores and do all your shopping online. If you’re not sure what size your kid is, stop by the store to just try on a couple things just to find out what size they are. It’s always better to shop online because stores usually don’t have their entire collection in stock. I buy almost everything at Zara and then buy things like swimsuits or socks at Old Navy, H&M, or Amazon.

. . .

Keep clothes clean and organized

Once you purchased your capsule, try your best to teach your kids to take care of their clothes. Always have them wear a smock or long bib when eating and make sure they are using a napkin to wipe their hands and mouth while eating. For a capsule to work, it’s best that you do laundry frequently so you always have each piece nicely organized and ready to use in their closet.

. . .

Do this and I promise you’ll feel happier and healthier than ever.

Cheering you on always!
